There isn’t a better idiom that can describe what led me to Quavo other than “a blessing in disguise”. When I found myself looking for a new opportunity during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Quavo’s Director of IT Nick Facca passed along my resume to the Director of Client Operations, Brand, and Community Brittany Usher and during our interview we just hit it off. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much during a job interview before! I was offered the job that week, and the rest was history.
I’m currently the Marketing Manager at Quavo, responsible for the execution of all tasks required to uphold our corporate sales goals. This involves a lot of project management around marketing campaigns, website content, social media, graphic design, and copywriting. At the end of the day, my goal is to bring forward data, information, and opportunities with which the whole company can benefit from and grow.
My favorite thing about Quavo is that employees can charter their own career paths. Hard work is rewarded here, and complex hierarchical structures don’t exist to hold employees back. If I or any other employee envisions something that would benefit the company, all we need to do is pave the way to make it happen. The team will fully support it.
Outside of work, I serve on the Advisory Board for the George Washington University Digital Marketing Certificate Program. I love to travel – it’s practically in my blood. My family is scattered all over the world, from England to Singapore and I grew up moving all over the US – Seattle, New York, Arizona, Atlanta, Maine, and now Michigan. When I’m not working or traveling, I’m reading history books. It’s how I learn things. Give me a chemistry textbook, and it’s a foreign language. Give me a biography on Marie Curie and it will all come together.
I currently live in Ann Arbor, MI, with my husband Cameron and our two dogs: a corgi and a shiba inu. They are frequently in attendance during my Zoom meetings. If you haven’t met (or heard) them yet, you will soon!
