Moab Motivation

In August, Quavo employees traveled from far and wide to meet in Moab, UT for a company retreat. Director of Marketing Nichole Campbell noted, “Despite our vast geographic footprint, every time we are together it feels like we haven’t missed a beat. An onlooker would never guess that we were a remote company because of how close we are.”

Items on the agenda included a session with Quavo’s consulting partner Rob Salome, President of Solutions 21, as well as a fireside chat with the company’s co-founders. Quavo employees also heard from Darius Alcaire, Director of Account and Card Operations at BECU – one of Quavo’s valued credit union partners.

The trip underscored the virtual team’s camaraderie with in-person outings, like hiking Arches National Park and whitewater rafting on the Colorado River. “The Moab trip made me appreciate this company even more,” said Fraud and Dispute Analyst Deoin McClinton, “The people in this company are committed, supportive, positive, but most importantly know how to have a good time. We know how to work hard and play hard.”

The event was organized by Executive Assistant Rebekah “RJ” Scarano, who said, “Camp Quavo is my baby. I put my heart, sweat, and tears into the planning process ensure every single person had an amazing time from start to finish.  My hopes that everyone was able to think back throughout the year of Camp Quavo and keep that excitement going for the next trip.”
