I first began working for Quavo, Inc. as a finance intern in the spring of 2019 while pursuing my accounting degree at Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business. I continued my internship throughout my senior year. Upon graduation, I was hired full time as a Strategic Operations Analyst. While working under our CFO, Dan Penne, I have gained valuable insight into a growing financial tech company’s inner workings and strategic focus.
My day-to-day work involves operational responsibilities revolving around our finance, legal, and HR departments. I oversee monitoring, maintaining, and reporting Quavo’s implementation, support, and overhead budgets, which helps our monthly and yearly financial reporting. Regarding our legal/HR departments, I assist in drafting, editing, and executing Quavo’s contracts, company policies, and internal communications. This array of duties has given me invaluable experience in various facets of our company.
Five years from now, I hope to be still working for Quavo, fulfilling a leadership role in our finance department. Being able to wake up every day excited to learn and contribute to a great company such as Quavo is truly rewarding. We offer some of the most innovative fraud and dispute technology in the market today- I am incredibly excited to see what the future holds.
